What the world needs is not dogma…

…but an attitude of scientific inquiry combined with a belief that the torture of millions is not desirable, whether inflicted by Stalin or by a Deity imagined in the likeness of the believer.
The US Government has redefined, no, RAPED the US Constituion, that document that has served the American people so well and so proudly. That noise you hear is the Founding Fathers spinning in their graves. In Australia, we follow the US so blindly, jackboot-stepping in time, left, right, right, right, right……
Torture is okay if done by them, by US, and we were supposed to be the good guys? Aren’t you frightened? Aren’t you in the least bit terrified for your rapidly diminishing rights? For your children?
Nothing to fear if you aren’t guilty? Who decides your guilt? If you are suspected, rightly or wrongly, they can now torture you. With impunity.
The terrorists have won. And worse. WE are now the terrorists. We have always been at war with Eurasia.

There are of course amendments to the constitution that are there specifically so that the population can make a stand and stop this manipulation. I don’t think it will be long before some parts of the US population start building a movement to take back the country. They will have to overcome massive issues but it is possible.

Well, I will certainly believe we are marching in absolute lock-step with the US if torture is legalised here.
Havent seen any pending legislation to that effect.
