Anousheh Ansari, winner of the XPrize first space tourist competition, is up on the Space Station now. She is an amzing woman in so many ways, and her blog of her tripis warm, human and humorous. (Sleeping like bats is funny)

I don’t know why she has moved me so much, but she has. This is the type of person I wish would influence my children more than any stupid pop star. In an ideal, just world, this woman would receive the adulation of a pop starlet like Britney, Christina, etc….

The damage that Hurricane Katrina did to New Orleans was a major catastrophe for that vibrant, vivid, amazing place. The appalling Government response, and the slowness of rebuilding are beyond sad, they are almost criminal.
Revisit, or visit again. This blog says it all - and the sadness of the title refers to the lack of response by people.
